Michael or "JOVO" has always had a love affair with the silver screen, storytelling and entertaining people. Growing up in Windsor, Ontario Canada he dreamt of being an actor. Being a dual citizen of the US and Canada allows him the convenience and 

luxury of working legally on both sides of the border. After a successful, storied career as a production designer and decorator, he continues his evolution in film as a performing artist. 

His favorite project found him playing a retired bare knuckle boxer in the multi award winning short film SCATTERBRAIN. Michael received the runner up for Best Actor and an Honorable Mention at the LA Indie Shorts and Hollywood Gold Award Festivals in 2022. Recent projects include: playing Hitman Sammy in the short film ESCAPE, and a bachelor, Timothy in the short film THE LITTLE THINGS MATTER, in which he also received a Best Actor nomination. Catch Michael as Scuba Man (best actor nomination) in the upcoming, eccentric, quirky short film entitled OLL KORRECT.  Michael also has several national commericals on network television. His most recent Super Bowl 58 VW (2024) spot has him channeling his dedo (granpa) as an immigrant seeing Elis Island for the first time.He played a production designer in the Apple iPhone 12 commercial (2022) and a grave digger in the ’22 Huluween Ad. When he is not performing, training, or staying active, Michael spends time volunteering at Born to Act Players a non-profit servicing the Downs Syndrome community in LA. He also enjoys hanging out with his beautiful wife Rosanne, daughter Aylah and their precious rescue dog Lola, the one-eyed teacup Yorkie poo  @lolalefteye — they can be found doing day trips up and down the Southern California coast.
